Mr. Hatem El-Safty, CISA, CIA, PMP the practice leader of Consulting & Risk Services within Mazars GCC, leading more than 40 consultants providing a range of corporate governance, assurance, and risk management-related services for financial, government sectors. Hatem brings over 22 years of international experience making him a true authority in the field of Internal Audit, starting in professional services (E&Y and PwC) followed by more than 8 years in Oil and Gas industry working for BP, London, UK, and Qatar gas in Doha, Qatar.
Hatem established and led the first Chief Audit Executives Forum, having more than 50 chief internal auditors from top organizations gathering in one place to discuss the latest risk assurance regional and global challenges. Hatem is the x-chairman of the Institute of Risk Management Chapter, who leads the community of risk management professionals running regular seminars, workshops, risk awareness across different industries, and leading governance risk-related research. He obtained a master’s in business & IT from Middlesex University, UK, as well Data science diploma from Berekey, USA, Hatem also is regular speaker at different seminars and conferences, as well as an instructor at Qatar University and is leading risk management research.
Hatem is an enthused active sportsman, he was the captain of the Egyptian National diving team (2000-2003) and currently the president of TriClub Doha (the largest triathlon club in Qatar with more than 500 active members), he is the elected president for the second consecutive term, setting club’s direction, strategy, and leading it to sustain its exponential growth.
