Why choose Qatar?

Most of Qatar's wealth comes from its massive hydrocarbon reserves, thanks in part to North Field, one of the world's largest gas field. By investing heavily since the 1990s in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) of which it is now one of the largest exporter, the country has one of the highest per capita income.

Qatar's economy is strong and growing, its banking system is healthy, inflation remains low despite the blockade of 2017. Because the oil and gas resources allow the state to invest enough to achieve ambitious goals that it has set itself by hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022 but also in its Vision to 2030, thus diversifying its sources of income in the medium and long term.

To better meet the needs of foreign companies wishing to settle in Qatar, the country has set up effective support structures, encouraging local and international investment. For example, the Qatar Financial Center, which allows registration without a sponsor, provides legal, regulatory and financial support for companies to do business in Qatar but also in the region. The announcement of the opening of several free zones, by 2019, is still a symbol of the country's willingness to appeal to foreign companies to boost its economic landmark.

And social welfare is not left out: Qatar wishing to become a model in the Gulf, it is hosting since 2018 the first project office of the International Labor Organization, whose mission is to support the implementation of a comprehensive program of technical cooperation on working conditions and workers' rights in Qatar. The health system, moreover, is free and efficient.
